Personal Life of Frank MirHe is the son of Loren and Diane Meiringi Frank Meirus, born as one brother. He has been married to Jennifer Mir and has three children: Isabella, Kage, and Ronin. Isabella Mir went the path of her father and is on her way to becoming an emerging phenom in combat sports — particularly, mixed martial arts (MMA). Kage and Ronin have some athletic ability as well, namely in martial arts. Mir frequently talks about his family and how he adores them.
When he crashed and suffered injuries which put him out of his first professional superbike ride in 2004, a phone call to home helped save Mir’s career. He broke his femur so badly in the accident, that doctors thought he might not even walk again -– let alone fight. Frank Mir was able to best it with a little help from his friends (and family) as well.
Relationship with UFC
Frank Mir has come and gone in his relationship with UFC management for years. Mir went on to fight for Bellator MMA until his release in 2016, continuing to compete in the Heavyweight division. Even if Mir is no longer in the UFC, he is still considered an integral part of the sport and of course, who can forget his contributions to their perpetually shallow heavyweight division?
Since his fighting days, Mir has moved on to doing commentary and analysis for several organizations including providing color commentary to Bellator events but most notably Triller Fight Club events. He also hosts a podcast where he talks all things MMA and combat sports, as well as some of the best stories in his personal life.
