Total Football Philosophy
Johan Cruyff: He’s far more than just the player he was — but his best days were as a player. This saw his predecessor Johan Cruyff’s philosophy “Total Football” — which rallied around fluidic formations, areas, and technical skills. Plus, he changed the way football teams functioned, as players were able to play multiple positions.
This school of thought, which Cruyff later implemented as a coach at Barcelona and where he developed the ideas that turbo-charged one of the best football dynasties ever seen, primarily under Pep Guardiola. This went right through to coaches like Pep Guardiola.
Family and Personal Life
Cruyff married Danny Coster in 1968, with whom he had three children: Chantal, Susila and Jordi. Jordi Cruyff, his son also took football as a career and went on the footsteps of his father. Jordi Professional player at Barca now is a Coach and Sporting Director.
